Founded in 2021 by paediatric surgeon Dr. Maame Tekyiwa Botchway, HOPE for Little Lives has been dedicated to bringing medical care to underserved communities across Ghana. Since its inception, the organization has performed over 300 free paediatric surgeries, screened more than 2,000 children for medical conditions, provided medications, dewormed over 1,500 children, and refurbished several basic schools nationwide.
With only eleven paediatric surgeons in Ghana, based in Accra and Kumasi, access to paediatric healthcare remains a challenge. HOPE for Little Lives was established to bridge this gap, delivering critical paediatric care to remote and underserved areas.
