Stanbic Receives Four Global ISO Certifications in Service Quality and Business Resilience

Stanbic Bank Ghana has received four globally recognized certifications from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), reaffirming the bank’s commitment to excellence.

The certifications, awarded through MQA Certification UK Ltd, reaffirm the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional service, maintaining operational resilience, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and learning at every level of its operations.

The certifications include ISO 22301 for Business Continuity Management, ISO 20000 for Service Management System, ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 9001 for Quality Management System. These accreditations, which add to the previously obtained ISO 27001 for Information Security Management System, position Stanbic Bank Ghana among an elite group of financial institutions operating at global best-practice levels while highlighting the bank’s proactive approach to risk management, service excellence, and organizational sustainability.

Commenting on the achievement, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Kwamina Asomaning, described the certifications as a testament to the institution’s culture of continuous improvement. “These certifications represent our promise to clients and stakeholders that we are operating at the highest global standards. They speak to our resilience, reliability, and readiness to deliver quality outcomes regardless of the challenges we face,” he said.

Mr. Asomaning also expressed appreciation to staff and clients. “This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our team and the continued trust of our customers. It signals the beginning of even more ambitious goals we intend to reach.”

The four certifications underscore Stanbic Bank’s forward-thinking approach. ISO 22301 ensures the bank can effectively respond to and recover from disruptions like cyberattacks or natural disasters. ISO 20000 outlines best practices in IT service management, while ISO 45001 promotes safer workplaces by minimizing risks. ISO 9001 emphasizes delivering consistent quality in services and products.

ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, is a globally recognized body that develops and publishes international standards to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across industries.
