Stanbic Delegation Calls on National Chief Imam

A delegation from Stanbic Bank Ghana has paid a courtesy call on His Eminence, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, the National Chief Imam, at his Fadama residence to donate food items for Ramadan.

The visit, which has become an annual tradition during the holy month of Ramadan was led by Musah Abdallah, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and Mawuko Afadzinu, Head of Brand and Marketing at Stanbic Bank.

Speaking at the donation, Mawuko Afadzinu, emphasized the longstanding relationship between Stanbic Bank and the Chief Imam’s Office, which has persisted over the past decade. He said, “This visit has become a tradition for us and we appreciate the relationship we have had over the past 10 years. It is a privilege we don’t take for granted.”

Mr. Afadzinu further highlighted the National Chief Imam’s influence in Ghanaian society. “We appreciate the National Chief Imam because his wisdom does not only bless us as a bank but the community and the country as a whole. In the most difficult times, he’s remained an anchor of strength and wisdom and above all, he’s been a beacon and a propeller of growth in our country. That is why we are here to pay homage and appreciate him,” he noted.

The National Chief Imam expressed gratitude to the Stanbic team for their generosity and goodwill. He offered prayers for divine blessings and guidance upon them, acknowledging the bank’s consistent support over the past decade.

“We are deeply grateful for all that Stanbic Bank has done over the years. A heart filled with gratitude receives even greater blessings from Allah. It is my prayer that Allah continues to guide and strengthen the bank’s leadership, enabling them to make an even greater impact in Ghana and beyond,” he said.

The Chief Imam also emphasized the importance of peace and interfaith harmony in building national unity. “May Allah continue to bless our nation with peace. The fact that we can gather here today is because of the peaceful atmosphere we enjoy. We also appreciate the high level of interfaith tolerance in Ghana, which is truly commendable. The coexistence of different faiths in mutual respect is an example worth emulating,” he added.

The Stanbic Bank delegation included Nabil Abubakar Hussayn, Head, Employee Value Banking, Jemila Abdulai, Head of Digital and E-Commerce, Kojo Akoi-Larbi, Manager, Communications, Amos Abaidoo, Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, Portia Oduro Morrison, Officer, Communications and Noora Ari Goodman, Officer, Brand and Marketing.
